Safe Action System

The trigger safety is the first safety in the firing sequence. It is mounted on the trigger in the form of a lever and prevents the trigger from moving back when engaged. To fire the gun, the trigger safety and the trigger itself are deliberately pressed at the same time. If the trigger safety is not depressed, the trigger will not move to the rear, allowing the gun to fire.

The trigger safety is designed to prevent the gun from going off if it is dropped or if the gun is under pressure without direct fire being drawn.

The second safety, the firing pin safety, prevents the firing pin from moving forward when ready to fire. As the trigger is pulled to the rear, the trigger rod raises the firing pin safety and releases the firing pin channel. If you decide not to fire and release the trigger, the firing pin safety automatically re-engages.

The final safety consists of a trigger rod that sits on top of a safety ramp on the trigger mechanism lug. The trigger rod catches the rear of the firing pin and prevents the pin from moving forward. As the trigger is pulled to the rear, the trigger rod lowers the safety ramp, allowing the firing pin to be released. After firing, the trigger rod moves up and re-engages the firing pin. All safeties automatically re-engage when the trigger is released.
